Meet Your Coach, Nicole Laurin

I was a Diet Counsellor  for Diet Centre in Edmonton & Winnipeg after losing 30 lbs. in the 80’s!  I branched out and then formed my own company in Winnipeg.  Being overweight since the age of 12, I always had to watch myself, I was in a lifetime challenge, I had successfully lost weight & kept it off!  

 

Late 80’s divorced, single mother of 1 son, decided to get educated!  I completed 2 degrees, Administrative Studies & Sociology & graduated in 1993.  I also had  3 part time jobs that barely covered my expenses.  

 

In 1993, I met the love of my life at the University if Winnipeg!  He graduated in 1994.  Poor economy in Winnipeg, I pursued a career in Real Estate until 2014.   I fell ill to food poisoning!  And let the healing begin!  

I was still active in real estate until 2015 where I sadly gave up my license!

Convalescing was my mission & lots of physiotherapy!  I was in a wheelchair, then a 2 wheel walker, 4 wheel walked, then a cane, then to no walking devices!  Aquafit was my saviour which I continue to attend 4-5 classes a week!  I go to the gym 2x a week & walk the mall 1 to 2 times a day! During my illness, due  to lack of mobility, I gained  over 100 pounds!  When I gained back my mobility by 2018, my weight loss journey seriously began!

Lost over 80lbs Successfully

I am still 10 pounds shy of where I’d like to be, but are we ever happy? I keep working on it!

Nutrition always played a very big part of my life!  I have done the journey & now I am in a position to help others which is what I find the most gratifying!  I took a Nutrition coaching course for that reason,

To help others like myself who need motivation & guidance!  I can sincerely offer that to you as I’ve been there, done that, care & understand!  I continue to improve myself buy adding more courses to my repertoire! 

​

It is a constant daily routine where I use discipline, meal prepping in advance to maintain my weight which I embrace gracefully & I am grateful everyday!

​

Once you get into the routine of it all, it becomes part of your existence, every step you take, every meal you eat, every hour of sleep you get, the water you drink, the company you keep, all What I have to offer is an opportunity to learn how to lose weight & keep it off!  Let’s chat!
